Fall Roses and the Meaning of Their Colors

Fall is here and so is fall harvest. Historically, the name Fall Harvest originated because farmers gathered crops for long winter months. Since then, Fall Harvest has grown to represent different shades of yellow, falling leaves, cooling temperature, pumpkin spice, and some of our favorite holidays. The season is also famous, or perhaps infamous for, the day of the Autumn Equinox when day and night both last for 12 hours, reminding us that winter is fast approaching. As such, fall symbolizes transformation, which can be a positive thing for some but a turbulent time for others. Whether the aim is to reinforce someone’s positive feelings about fall, or the opposite, help someone achieve stability during a period of change and uncertainty, fall flowers may serve as an excellent tool for any purpose. Eternal Fleur offers a wide selection of fall flowers.

Classic red roses signify love, desire, and passion.

Yellow flowers are also often associated with warmth and the sun, making yellow roses a lingering reminder of fleeing summer days.

Violet roses and their deep purple tone are often perceived as a symbol of royalty, majesty, honor, and success. Purple flowers have been preferred subjects of some renowned artists like Georgia O’Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh, and Claude Monet.

Another excellent fall rose color choice is white as white roses do not only mean peace and purity but are also the perfect flower for fall weddings.

Regardless of color, eternal roses will continue to enliven someone’s day well past the Autumn Equinox.
